Colombia vs Ghana (World Cup)

Colombia vs Ghana (World Cup)

Coverage of this FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 tie from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Colombia and Ghana meet in the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time, with both nations looking to book their place in the last 16. Colombia reached the quarter-finals in 2014 thanks to the goals of James Rodríguez, while Ghana made history in 2010 by becoming only the third African nation to reach the World Cup quarter-finals. With both sides boasting pace, flair and attacking quality, an entertaining contest is expected as the stakes rise in the first knockout round

Canada vs Morocco (World Cup)

Canada vs Morocco (World Cup)

Coverage of the first round-of-16 match, which takes place at Houston Stadium in the USA. Canada edged past South Africa 1-0 in the last round, in a match that is unlikely to live long in the memory, but the Canadians won't let that bother them, although they'll be underdogs this time against a side looking to emulate their achievements of four years ago, when they reached the semi-finals. Morocco come into this match on the back of a penalty shootout victory over the Netherlands, secured thanks to a late equaliser from Fulham defender Issa Diop

France vs Paragauy (World Cup)

France vs Paragauy (World Cup)

Coverage of the second round-of-16 match, which takes place at Philadelphia Stadium in the USA. The South Americans caused an upset in the last round, providing a defensive masterclass to edge past Germany in a dramatic penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw. They'll need a similarly heroic display here against France, who are the tournament favourites, bang in form and awash with attacking talent.

Brazil vs Norway (World Cup)

Brazil vs Norway (World Cup)

Coverage of the third round-of-16 match, which takes place at New York/New Jersey Stadium in the USA. Brazil came from behind to beat Japan 2-1 in injury-time, having trailed at the break, with goals by Casemiro and Gabriel Martinelli breaking Japanese hearts. Despite not quite reaching their peak yet, Brazil will start as favourites here as they look to move a step closer towards a first World Cup triumph since 2002. Norway had Erling Braut Haaland to thank for a late winner in their last-32 match against Ivory Coast, after Amad Diallo's stunning goal had seemed enough to take the game into extra time.

Mexico vs England (World Cup)

Mexico vs England (World Cup)

Coverage of the fourth round-of-16 match, which takes place at Mexico City Stadium. England claimed a 3-0 win over Senegal in the corresponding match of the 2022 World Cup thanks to goals by Jordan Henderson, Bukayo Saka and Harry Kane. Should they have defeated DR Congo in the round of 32, the Three Lions will be involved in this contest once again, with Mexico their opponents. The co-hosts beat Ecuador 2-0 in the last round thanks to first-half goals from Julian Quinones and Raul Jimenez. Facing the Mexicans at this venue would be a particularly tough test as they have an excellent record here over the years.

USA vs Belgium (World Cup)

USA vs Belgium (World Cup)

Coverage of the sixth round-of-16 match, which takes place at Seattle Stadium in the USA. The USA have made the most of home advantage and have made serene progress through to this stage, including a 2-0 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last round. They will fancy their chances against a Belgian side who have looked a shadow of their former selves, but who pulled off a remarkable win against Senegal in the last 32, having been 2-0 down heading into the final minutes.
